Michelle Wins

Despite her best efforts – picking the worst team possible, and getting soundly beaten in the task. The contest was sewn up last week by her good performance in the interviews. The badger softened slightly towards the end, and actually gained my support at the final hurdle, but it was the dark horse who triumphed, thanks to the “working three jobs in one day to support your family” Tim-factor that Sugar loves. Ruth returns to her day job of digging for grubs and beatles.

James, what annoyed me was Sugar’s comment afterwards the Michelle has the qualities he was looking for in the role he had open. This changes everything!! The programme’s title is clearly misleading, as Michelle has just accepted a role within Alan’s corporation rather than one at his right hand side. This was the worst thing about a reasonably good production which if not else kept you entertained and interested. Michelle’s win was also tainted by her team selection, but as you alluded to, her interview suited the role been offer, unbeknownst to her.

Good point, but to be honest, I think Sugar was just being polite. What he meant to say was “I hate you both, I would rather hire the Marriot Hotel’s chef.” The question is: will there be another series? The answer: hopefully not with Sugar at the helm. He was very good but lets not overdo it. I’d like to see the search for Michael O’Leary’s apprentice ;)

James – you are brilliant. Send that idea into Mark Burnett and make sure you get a cut of the royalties. That would be brilliant.
