Joost Gets a Service

April 21st, 2007

Congrats to Colm and Joost in becoming immortalised in /etc/services - they now have an official IANA assigned port. Incidentally - if you haven’t got a Joost account yet and feel like checking it out, let me know because I have a few invitations available.

I’m anxious to get Joost. If you still have invitations available, please send one my way. I’d really appreciate it. Also, do you know if the BBC is interested in streaming their shows? I’m a huge Doctor Who fan, and I currently have to download the new episodes off uTorrent. Thanks in advance. =)

  18. Tonya Pettigrew Says:

Uh, I guess you can disregard that message since I scrolled through the comments again and noticed you’d said you’re out of invites. Will you pass my info along to someone else?

  19. James Says:

Tonya, they made invites unlimited a few days ago so I had 999 again. I don’t think BBC are streaming their shows on Joost, but I have heard that they’re making all of their content available online somewhere. I think they use that website http://www.vuze.com/ but maybe its somewhere else.

  20. Philipp Schumacher Says:
