It makes the screen more visible in the dark... probably in the sun too but I haven't tried that yet.

Thats a coincidence – I just discovered ctrl-option-command+8 two days ago and have been using it regularly since then. Multiple desktops are good. I've actually had a Joost account for a few weeks now - thanks for the thought anyway. I wasn't recommending Yojimbo... its just that it was another one that I saw recommended alongside Quicksilver so I downloaded that too. Don't know what to make of it... its very 'Macish'

Thanks… will have a look at that, and will give Virtue a bash while I’m at it I suppose. Not too sure about the Virtue desktop... is it just eye candy? I'm paranoid about eye candy, since for me it has only caused unnecessary problems (e.g., XGL/Compiz on Ubuntu).Quicksilver... I have heard so much about it and I still can't figure out exactly what it is. I downloaded it the other day but haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

Fixed it..
