7 reasons I switched back to PHP after 2 years on Rails - O'Reilly Ruby

SUMMARY: I spent two years trying to make Rails do something it wasn’t meant to do, then realized my old abandoned language (PHP, in my case) would do just fine if approached with my new Rails-gained wisdom. INTRO / BACKGROUND:…

The Dilbert Blog: Homo Erectus

The Dilbert Blog: Homo Erectus

I was reading an article about the little hobbit-like creatures discovered in Indonesia. I couldn’t help notice that the article uses the abbreviation “H. Erectus” instead of the full name Homo Erectus. This is presumably to prevent jokes about why we don’t see any of them around these days.

Are this posted automatically (like you can do for Del.icio.us bookmarks into your RSS feed?).

If so , pretty nifty (with the screenshots).

Ya it’s automatic… as far as I can see, Ma.gnolia is like a del.icio.us clone but with some nice bells and whistles. I’m only trying it out at the moment because for some reason I didn’t like del.icio.us. I did botch the postings a bit initially, but I like this auto-posting feature - it would be a lot better if I wrote in descriptions and ratings for each entry. A couple of bits and pieces could be improved on (for example, they allow you to insert the date in any field using @date, and they let you select a few different ways in which the date can be displayed, but I can’t see any way of setting European format).
