No matter how many times I watch this scene it doesn’t get old. The way Pappy O’Daniel and Junior look in opposite directions… reminds me of The Big Lebowski!

MAH HAIR!
Im a dapper dan man myself!!
The Big L? Really! What part reminds you of Lebowski?
Is it when they’re bowling for the fist time and Walter and Donny are sitting apart from one another and they never make proper eye contact but are always kept in the view of one another?
The way Pappy and Junior look back and forth, switching directions, with the two assistants similarly looking around in a similar rhythm (albeit different direction). It’s difficult to explain, but it reminds me of the synchronised bowling scene at the start of The Big L where Bob Dylan’s “The Man in Me” is playing.
In the “Gypsy Kings – Hotel California” scene in Big Lebowski, one of my favourite parts of the movie is when Donnie blinks in slow motion. I can’t put my finger on exactly what is so great about it, but there is a similar rhythm and symmetry in this scene (and some other scenes) in Oh Brother Where Art Thou.
